Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They snuck past the Sharyland Rattlers with a 44-39 win. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rattlers, too.

Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophia Mendoza, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Mendoza a new career-high. Alyssa Ramirez was another key player, putting up four points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Sharyland, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.
