Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Juliet Mcguire and Lily Cui Lead Prout to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Classical, Prout was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the South Kingstown Rebels. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Rebels two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Prout had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.

Leading Prout to victory were Lily Cui and Juliet McGuire. Cui had 17 digs, while McGuire had 11 assists and four digs. That's the most digs Cui has posted since back in September of 2024. Danica Caraway also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Prout was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Prout's record is now 3-4. As for South Kingstown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Prout will face off against rival La Salle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, South Kingstown is set to square off against their familiar foe Chariho at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
