Basketball Game Preview: Timpson Bears vs. Joaquin Rams

Timpson is a perfect 10-0 against Joaquin since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Timpson will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Timpson had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 33-point drubbing they dealt Garrison on Friday. The Bears simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 54-21. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Timpson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ceale Kruse led the charge by putting up 17 points. The matchup was Kruse's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Maliah Norris, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Joaquin came up short against Tenaha on Friday and fell 41-33.

Joaquin's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Timpson, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.

Timpson was able to grind out a solid victory over Joaquin when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 44-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
