Kirby was forced to take a big loss against Craigmont last Saturday, they got the better of them on Friday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cougars who were credited with the victory. The Kirby Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Craigmont Chiefs' one. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Kirby has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those seven contests. As for Craigmont, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 14-5-1 record.

Looking ahead, Kirby will challenge Millington Central on Tuesday. As for Craigmont, they will face off against Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Craigmont will need to watch out since Brighton have now posted at least four goals in their last four matches.
