Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Pendleton Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 last Saturday.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pendleton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will host Landrum at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pendleton, they will challenge Belton-Honea Path at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Pendleton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
