Softball Recap: Atrisco Heritage Academy Falls Short of Centennial in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Atrisco Heritage Academy can now relate to. They lost 13-1 to the Centennial Hawks on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Jaguars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Atrisco Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melanie MacIas, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double.

As for Centennial, they will square off against Mayfield at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
