Soccer Recap: Doherty Comes Up Short

Doherty's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Pueblo West Cyclones by a score of 3-2. Doherty were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pueblo West apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

MICHAEL BERRY and DREW MEDINA scored both of Doherty's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Doherty has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Pueblo West, their win bumped their record up to 6-0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Doherty is set to take on their familiar foe Fountain-Fort Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pueblo West will face off against rival Pine Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
