Softball Recap: Covenant Day Lions vs. Providence Day Chargers
Covenant Day won the last time they faced Providence Day and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
Alison Vandiver spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Avery Houseton was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March.
