Baseball Recap: Strasburg-Franklin Wins Going Away Against Frontier

It was a proper cat-fight when Strasburg-Franklin took on Frontier on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 10-1 win. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brody Baughmam was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Strasburg-Franklin is 4-2 when Baughmam allows one or fewer hits, but 8-12 otherwise. Baughmam was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Tanner Tucker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Caden Dugan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Strasburg-Franklin and bumps their season record up to 12-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Frontier, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Strasburg-Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frontier, they will challenge Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
