Recap: Ridgeland Titans vs. Warren Central Vikings
If the Ridgeland Titans were feeling good off their 89-44 takedown of the Neshoba Central Rockets last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ridgeland took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Warren Central on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that Ridgeland let down their fans at home.
Ridgeland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Khameron Snow, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Stevent Watkins who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Snow scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Morris Hammond, who scored eight points.
Ridgeland's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-7. As for Warren Central, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.
Ridgeland will face off against Vicksburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vicksburg will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Warren Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Columbus at 7:00 p.m. Columbus presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Warren Central in Mississippi (Columbus is ranked sixth, while Warren Central is ranked 85th).
