Football Recap: Prosper Falls Short Against Ranked Allen + How To Watch

Prosper faced Allen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Prosper was just a hair shy of victory and fell 31-30 to Allen. The loss was Prosper's first of the season.

Leading Allen to victory were Lyndon Spriggs and Jeremiah Daoud. Spriggs gained 119 total yards and two touchdowns, while Daoud threw for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Daoud a new career-high in rushing yards (29).

Having lost for the first time this season, Prosper fell to 7-1. As for Allen, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Prosper will head out on the road to take on Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Allen, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against McKinney Boyd at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
