Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Juniata Valley

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Juniata Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past the Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack with a 77-72 victory. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the WolfPack back in December of 2024, they had to take a 89-76 defeat.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Stamm and Ethan Bowen. Stamm posted 29 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Bowen scored 24 points. With that strong performance, Bowen is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Rocco Gigante was another key player, putting up six points and ten boards.

Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points over those games. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.
