Winston County put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 60-33 win over the Tharptown Wildcats. While the Yellowjackets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winston County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marli Stewart, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lynleigh Cobb, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Winston County pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tharptown, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Winston County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Addison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tharptown, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tharptown is facing Cherokee at the right time seeing as Cherokee is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
