Recap: Southern Alamance Patriots vs. Person Rockets
The Southern Alamance Patriots can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 37-30 victory over Person. For Southern Alamance, this counts as revenge for the 41-36 defeat Person walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southern Alamance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Isley, who scored 12 points. The matchup was Isley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Brouillard, who scored 11 points.
Southern Alamance's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Person, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Alamance won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Person, they will head out on the road to face off against Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Orange focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
