Volleyball Recap: Altamont Longhorns vs. Rich Rebels
Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Rich Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 24-26, 25-16, 25-14.
Reaylee Stevenson paced Altamont's offense, picking up six kills. Stevenson got some help from Lauren Thacker and her 15 assists. Kate Lindsay controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Among those leading the charge was Paige Smith, who had 18 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last four times she's played.
Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Rich, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.
