Baseball Recap: Bellaire's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Bellaire has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.6 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell just short of the Bear Lake Lakers by a score of 10-9. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Tyler Schumaker was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Damon Fox, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bellaire fell to 4-1. As for Bear Lake, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Bellaire will square off against Johannesburg-Lewiston at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bear Lake, they will venture away from home to take on Pentwater at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
