Oak Hill came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Marion Giants. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Oak Hill got a great performance from Noah Thompson as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Thompson a new career-high.

At the plate, Landon Watts was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ryan Lawson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Oak Hill pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.

Coming up, Oak Hill will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Eastbrook at 5:00 p.m. As for Marion, they will head out to square off against Kokomo at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
