Baseball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Newark's offense. They came up short against the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils on Monday, falling 10-0. The Reds just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mynderse Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Newark will face off against Geneva at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Mynderse Academy, they will host Palmyra-Macedon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
