Softball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lincoln-Way West waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Stagg Chargers as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lincoln-Way West's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Stagg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lincoln-Way West will challenge rival Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.5, the Griffins 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Stagg is set to take on their familiar foe Bradley-Bourbonnais at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
