Basketball Recap: North River Christian Comes Up Short

North River Christian fought the good fight in their overtime game against Tuscaloosa Home Educators on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-27 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Caleb Farley, who posted 24 points for Tuscaloosa Home Educators. That makes it five consecutive games in which Farley has scored at least a third of Tuscaloosa Home Educators' points. Another player making a difference was Stephen Turner, who scored 14 points.

North River Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

North River Christian will take on Hope Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they will challenge Southern Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
