Rhinelander and Mosinee are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Rhinelander Hodags will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mosinee Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Mosinee will be up against a hot Rhinelander team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Rhinelander blew past Wabeno/Laona, posting a 73-39 victory. The Hodags have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mosinee took their game on Friday with ease, bagging an 83-17 win over Tomahawk. While fans of the Indians might be used to big wins, the 66-point margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Rhinelander better focus on containing Carson Balgord and Brayden Reinke as the pair were huge in Mosinee's win. Balgord went 9-for-13 en route to 24 points and eight steals, while Reinke dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. Reinke's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Treve Stoffel was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 12 points and five boards.

Mosinee has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points over those games. Rhinelander pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Rhinelander was able to grind out a solid win over Mosinee in their previous meeting back in January, winning 63-54. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Reinke, who went 10-for-19 on his way to 26 points and eight rebounds.
