Baseball Recap: Jumpertown Comes Up Short

Jumpertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Falkner Eagles, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Jumpertown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reece Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Jumpertown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Falkner, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

While Jumpertown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
