Baseball Recap: Sioux Central Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

While Sioux Central's win against Western Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels had just enough and edged out the Wolfpack 3-2 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2024.

Sioux Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Western Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Looking ahead, Sioux Central will square off against West Lyon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Western Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cherokee Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolfpack are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
