Bishop Garrigan had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lake Mills Bulldogs by a score of 60-51. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Garrigan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Lake Mills, their loss ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Garrigan will venture away from home to face off against Humboldt at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Garrigan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Humboldt likes a good challenge. As for Lake Mills, they will square off against Osage at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
