Baseball Recap: HCYA's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

HCYA made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Fort Worth THESA, but they still couldn't quite topple them. HCYA never let Fort Worth THESA get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for HCYA, who have now won three matchups in a row.

James Norman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caden Steele, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyde Tracy, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

HCYA's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Fort Worth THESA, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, HCYA will square off against Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fort Worth THESA, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 6:30 p.m. on April 11.
