Football Recap: Maui Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Maui lost against Baldwin back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sabers came up short against the Bears, falling 35-14. The Sabers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Baldwin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Viloria, who rushed for 138 yards on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Uzaiyah Kalalau Ah-Loo Kuailani, who rushed for 78 yards and one TD.

Maui's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Baldwin, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maui will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on King Kekaulike at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Baldwin, they will challenge Lahainaluna at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. The Bears will be up against the Lunas' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
