Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Enumclaw Hornets 81-23. The Raiders lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in January of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-48 score last time.

Despite the defeat, Jefferson saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ikaika Frank posted seven points.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Enumclaw, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-21 defeat against Mt. Rainier on the 21st. Enumclaw has also already played their next match, a 55-42 loss against Kentridge on the 21st.
