Soccer Game Preview: Summer Creek vs. Kingwood

Summer Creek hasn't had much luck against Kingwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Summer Creek Bulldogs will host the Kingwood Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Summer Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Humble and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Wildcats are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Kingwood hasn't lost a match since January 3rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. Neither they nor King could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Kingwood's goal came courtesy of Charles Morrison, who's now up to two this season.

Summer Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. Kingwood's draw makes their record 8-1-3 this season.
