Baseball Recap: Highland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Highland walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears 5-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Scots as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Highland's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Valdez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Valdez has posted since back in March.

Highland's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Sierra Pacific, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Sanger on the 21st. Sierra Pacific does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
