Montclair has gone 8-1-1 against Ontario recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Montclair Cavaliers will look to defend their home pitch against the Ontario Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montclair's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They skirted past Chaffey 1-0. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Tigers are ranked 775th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ontario). They put the hurt on Don Lugo with a sharp 5-2 victory on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

The win snapped Ontario's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-6-1 record. As for Montclair, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Montclair took their victory against Ontario in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Montclair have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ontario turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
