Preview: Northwest Christian School Crusaders vs. La Salle Lightning
The Northwest Christian School Crusaders will finish 2023 at home by hosting the La Salle Lightning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest Christian School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 377 points over their last six games.
Last Tuesday, Northwest Christian School strolled past Chewelah with points to spare, taking the game 72-53. Given Northwest Christian School's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Chewelah is ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northwest Christian School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ben Slade, who scored 19 points. Slade continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Asher West, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, La Salle pushed their score all the way to 60 last Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Wahluke by a score of 63-60.
Northwest Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
