Kossuth was the 7-2 winner over Alcorn Central when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Aggies fell just short of the Bears by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Aggies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kossuth's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5. As for Alcorn Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

While Kossuth had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
