Football Recap: Brysen Riccardi and Carson Burnard Pace Gaston Defense + How To Watch

Gaston was the 28-12 winner over Santiam when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 26-24 on Friday. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Gaston lost, don't look at Tony Fern. Despite the final result, he rushed for 71 yards and three touchdowns.

Gaston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brysen Riccardi and Carson Burnard.

Gaston now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Santiam, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

As of now, neither Gaston nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
