Johnson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-3 to the Thomson Bulldogs. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Kayla Kalevela and Monica Portillo scored all three of Johnson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Johnson fell to 4-1. As for Thomson, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Johnson has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Josey on the 13th. Thomson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lincoln County at 5:30 p.m. on March 24th.
