Basketball Recap: Marshall Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Marshall Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 34-22 to the Christian Heritage Sentinels. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Guardians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-51 back in January.

Marshall Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Christian Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arkansas at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Christian Heritage, they will face off against Longview Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Heritage will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
