Football Recap: Harnett Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Harnett Central can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Jacksonville Cardinals and fell 52-12. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jacksonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anthony Washington led the charge by rushing for 45 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 115 yards and one TD. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Washington a new career-high. Amari Pearson was another key rusher, rushing for 151 yards and one score on only eight carries.
