Softball Recap: La Vernia Bears vs. Gonzales Apaches
Gonzales hit La Vernia with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears fell 13-8 to the Apaches. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apaches this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 back in March.
La Vernia saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Lundin, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Cayleigh Coble was another, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
La Vernia's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Gonzales, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-7-4.
As of now, neither La Vernia nor the Apaches have any future games scheduled.
