Baseball Recap: Avery Comes Up Short

Avery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sulphur Bluff Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 17-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Avery's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Avery and Sulphur Bluff will both be playing Detroit the next time they take the field. Sulphur Bluff will head out to face Detroit at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, while Avery will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
