Volleyball Recap: Thorp Takes a Loss

Thorp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Fall Creek Crickets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crickets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Thorp was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-14.

Thorp's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Fall Creek, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 20-13.

Coincidentally, Thorp and Fall Creek will both be playing Bloomer the next time they take the court. The Crickets will head out to face the Blackhawks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
