Baseball Recap: Great Hearts Northern Oaks Takes a Loss

Great Hearts Northern Oaks suffered their closest defeat since February 27th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Randolph Ro-Hawks by a score of 5-3. The Griffins just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Nicholas Franzese put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Franzese wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rhett Elliot, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Great Hearts Northern Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Randolph, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
