Basketball Recap: Riverheads Comes Up Short

Riverheads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets, falling 68-45. The Gladiators were not able to make up for their loss to the Green Hornets from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Wilson Memorial, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverheads will square off against Waynesboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverheads is facing Waynesboro at the right time seeing as Waynesboro is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Wilson Memorial has already played their next contest (against Staunton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
