Recap: Woodlawn vs. Back of the Yards College Prep Bobcats

Woodlawn were the 40-28 winner over the Back of the Yards College Prep Bobcats when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Woodlawn took a hard 36-21 fall against Back of the Yards College Prep on Wednesday. Woodlawn just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.

Leading Back of the Yards College Prep to victory were Nysiara Roby and Natalie Kenny. Roby dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Kenny scored nine points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roby has scored all season. Belinda Rivera was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.

Woodlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Back of the Yards College Prep, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodlawn won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ogden International at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. Ogden International will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Back of the Yards College Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Victoria Soto at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
