The Fairfield Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Jimtown Jimmies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Fairfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Elkhart Christian Academy on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on four straight.

Grady Chupp was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chupp was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Andrew Bailey looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Back at the plate, Fairfield let Eli Miller and Kyler Castetter run wild. Miller went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Castetter got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Miller has posted since back in April of 2024. Logan Miller also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Jimtown had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past the Lions 16-4. The result was nothing new for the Jimmies, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Dalton Cook made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Broderic Kaler was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Connor Christman, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Jimtown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Jimtown's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Fairfield, their record now sits at 11-6.
Fairfield skirted past Jimtown 5-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
