Basketball Recap: First Assembly Christian Academy Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

If Hope Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played First Assembly Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Jausten Rivera. Everything went the First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles' way against the Hope Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday as the First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles made off with a 63-42 win thanks in part to Rivera, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played.

Sean James was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8 rebounds per game.

Hope Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aiden Wilson, who posted 14 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Munroe, who earned 12 points and three steals.

First Assembly Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Hope Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
