Baseball Recap: Washington Township Takes a Loss

If Washington Township was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Cumberland on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingsway Dragons on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Washington Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Andrie, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Kingsway, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Township will host Millville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kingsway, they will welcome Williamstown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
