Softball Recap: North Salem Comes Up Short

North Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the South Eugene Axe. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Axe earlier this season, when they won 16-11.

North Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for South Eugene, the victory snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 2-13 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Salem will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Albany at 5:00 p.m. on May 5. As for South Eugene, they will face off against Grants Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Cavemen have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
