Baseball Recap: Piute Thunderbirds vs. Bryce Valley Mustangs
It was a good run, but Piute unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bryce Valley Mustangs. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.
Blake Dalton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavin Jessen, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with a double.
Piute's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Bryce Valley, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Piute didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win vs. Green River on the 27th. Bryce Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
