Recap: Eastside Eagles vs. Heritage Patriots
The Eastside Eagles waltzed into Tuesday's game with five straight wins but they left with six. Everything went their way against Heritage as Eastside made off with a 63-38 victory. Considering Eastside has won three games by more than 24 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aysia Spivey, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Spivey. Donee Morain was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Eastside pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Heritage, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Eastside will be home for the holidays to greet Clarke Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarke Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Eastside is ranked 90th). As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to face off against Loganville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
