Basketball Recap: Hampton Hawks vs. Cross County Cougars

Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 72-28 defeat at the hands of the Cross County Cougars. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

Cross County was led to victory by Wyatt Hengelfelt and Brock Allen. Hengelfelt went 8 for 13 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds, while Allen posted ten points and eight boards. Hengelfelt continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Langdon Arbuck, who earned ten points.
