Basketball Recap: Blytheville Comes Up Short

Blytheville suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 65-37 defeat at the hands of the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Chickasaws in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Blytheville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Greene County Tech, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blytheville will take on Lonoke in a tournament on Friday. As for Greene County Tech, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Buffalo Island Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
